As a multimillionaire who has lunched with the Obamas and regularly hangouts with Jay-Z and Beyonce, it comes as a surprise that Kanye is even capable of idolizing someone. In an interview with Style.com, however, the rapper revealed, “Ralph is the god. And that’s all I want to say about Ralph.” Laudatory praise from the rap god himself.
Kanye’s interview with Style came shortly after Kanye’s own foray into high fashion. The rapper turned designer showed his own collection, in partnership with Adidas, at New York Fashion Week and the collection has since then been highly criticized by fans and fashionistas alike. Fashion PR giant, Kelly Cutrone, even called Kanye’s designs ‘a joke’.
Kanye remains unphased by the haters, however, and has at least one supporter in Ralph Lauren. The notable American fashion designer caressed Kanye’s face and the rapper has never looked happier.
